Question: How did the traffic official save the life of a three year old girl in the Chinese city of Kaili in Guizhou province? A) By pushing her out of the path of an oncoming vehicle? B) By catching her from a fourth floor window of a building? C) By administering life saving CPR after an accident? Answer: Incredibly B. When Chen Zhongping saw the toddler climbing out of the fourth storey apartment window, she did not hesitate to rush over to the building. And it was a good job she did, as the little girl, whose grandmother had locked herself out of the apartment, fell into the 49 year old’s arms. Despite a rain canopy breaking the girl’s fall, both catcher and faller suffered serious injuries with Ms Zhongping suffering a brain haemorrhage and falling into a coma for two days. Thankfully the Guiyang Evening News reported that after regaining consciousness she was moved from intensive care to the general ward of the hospital where she was being treated. Meanwhile the little girl was also reported as recovering in hospital. What a catch.
