You name it and these days you can buy it on the internet: cars; houses; toys; electronic gadgets.  To the list can be added a “football-shaped” egg after a buyer shelled out £102 for one.  It turns out there was quite a scramble for the spherical egg among the bidders during a 10 day online auction.  Good news for dog charity Run Free Alliance which is set to receive the proceeds of the sale.  That is of course provided the seller, a Ms Lesley Reith from Wirral in Liverpool, manages to pack it securely.  She will have to be eggtremely careful otherwise she may well be left with egg on her face.
