An 85 year old great-grandfather hit the jackpot after his numbers came up in the National Lottery. Robert Bruce from Cumbria is now planning to spend some of his £727,308 winnings on a holiday of a lifetime. He was one of three winners who shared £2,181,924 between them. Mr Bruce has three children, four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren and he intends to treat them all by paying for the whole family to go on a cruise. For those who think lightning strikes twice or indeed for those who don’t, the winning numbers were: 3, 17, 20, 24, 38 and 43. Good things come to those who wait.
