The Brews Brothers
A cider brewer has come up with a novel way to source apples: by offering cider drinkers a bottle of nectar if they bring a sack of their own fruit with them. Castle Rock Brewery, an established brewer of real ales and pub manager in Nottingham, has only recently branched out into cider, hence the need for apples. The brewer is not fussy and is happy to accept all varieties of apples as long as the fruit is fresh and not bruised. ‘Bring your own apples cider’ appears to be catching on, already the first batch has been brewed using fruit grown on an allotment. We’ve all heard of crowd funding, why not crowd brewing?
