One Is Amusing
Ever wondered what the Queen’s party trick is? According to her cousin Margaret Rhodes, Her Majesty is a dab hand, or should that be mouth, at mimicking regional accents. Years spent at Balmoral in Aberdeenshire has allowed the monarch to perfect her Scottish intonation, while holidays at Sandringham in Norfolk have enabled the Queen to pass off as a local. Indeed she is so good that on one occasion at Sandringham a shopper, who did not recognise her, commented on how much she looked like the Queen. To which Her Majesty remarked “How very reassuring”.
